HazMat
Materials Training
Most of our HazMat training is conducted on the HazMat field which is located separately from the fire training field. It includes a newly renovated classroom complete with rolling desk chairs and large restrooms. It is complete with a large video board and surround sound. It provides a comfortable atmosphere for the classroom portion of our HazMat training. Just outside the door of the HazMat classroom is an attached covered pavilion. Review such things as PPE, decontamination procedures, and air monitoring all while covered in a large shaded area.

The outside HazMat training area has over 12 scenario and skill stations set up so that a large portion of all of our HazMat classes are hands-on. Patch kit props, pipe patch room, drum rack props, forklift scenarios, Lock-out/tag-out scenarios involving hazardous materials, trailer rollovers, a loading dock, Chlorine A, B, and C kit props for both instruction and scenario base exercises. We also have many different transport trailers and ISO containers on site to be used for HazMat mitigation and product transfer operations.

Our Petro/Chemical complex also offers many HazMat training opportunities. From the rail cars to the multiple Hazmat release props spread out throughout the complex. You will feel as though you are actually walking up the stairs at your plant in chemical protective clothing to tighten up a leaking valve or rescue an exposed worker.
